I’ve always felt an appreciation for traditional arts and crafts. And in my travels around the world, it’s in the markets and villages where I found true treasures.

Watching women create in their open houses and backyards while their kids and livestock produce the musical ambience of joy around them. Witnessing the energy, time and intention entering their act of creation— every piece became a story in itself. The details, the choice of colors, ornaments, and hidden tales of history, struggle, and love. These creations are personal expressions of humanity.

For these artisans, creating and working with their hands is prayer and meditation. It is a connection to their heart’s divinity, the Universe, and to nature herself.

This is what Bird of Light is about: conscious fashion. Created with love and appreciation for Mother Nature. Made by women in their ancestral communities around the world. Fashion of appreciation and gratitude. Fashion that includes and supports the ancestral traditions and crafts passed down preciously through generations.

We all are so different. Our cultures are all so beautiful and rich in their profound, unique way. Bird of Light is designed to invite us all to share, learn, and exchange the beauty within different cultures and for us to recognize the abundance of beauty in our world.

Honouring my inner calling for this mission— I am stepping onto this unknown path to explore and learn how the Universe wants me to navigate myself in this journey from the space of love for the Gift of this life.
