I met Maria in rather funny situation. One day at the market in Oaxaca my friend got bit by a mosquito - in the EYE! Maria and her friend started pouring water inside of my friend’s eye trying to wash away the mosquito out to sooth excruciating itching. We became good friends and collaborators since. Maria lives in Mitla Village, near Oaxaca City. Her family is proudly working on traditional loom making fabrics in a sustainable way for generations.
