Centuries of traditional weaving and embroidery made by hand with the art and skills inherited through the epochs of cultures that take their roots in pre- Columbian culture (about 2,700 years ago), Peru.
The initiative Luzmila and her husband started in 2002 provides training and jobs for more than 300 artisans in 12 native communities in rural Ayacucho.
As a result, Wari Urpi is helping to improve the quality of life for its artisans while at the same time preserving ancient traditions and conserving the environment.
