Inspired by Gandhi’s movement of providing employment to the unemployed rural population living in Indian villages in 1918, this family establishment currently works with 250 women who spin and weave from the comfort of their homes. For these pieces, I drove all the way to the South of the Oaxaca region. The threads are made from the purest cotton that is grown and collected by the local community.
