I met Fernanda and her little daughter at the street market in Oaxaca.
We engaged in a friendly conversation as I sat next to her on the steps having Elote, a Mexican corn soup. A cheerful young mother, Fernanda told me that she sources her merchandise from nearby villages and in such a way supports herself and her little girl Olivia. She shared that; she dreams for her daughter to study well and learn English.
